Royal Mail Strike

 

The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has called on its members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take further national strike action on the following dates:-

​

•  9th December

• 11th December

• 14th December

• 15th December 

• Additional Day might be added.

 

Please note this will delay the delivery of orders when 'Standard Delivery' is selected.  We use Royal Mail Tracked 24, and along with many over on-line retailers we don't know at this point by how much delays it might be. Some parcels are taking up to 3 weeks to be delivered.

Our solution is to start sending most parcels with Evri Parcel delivery which is a 2 - 4 day service and this will help to minimise delays. 

​

If your order is urgent or to avoid delays please select Courier Delivery. But at the moment even our couriers DPD are having problems in some areas due to weather, so deliveries may be delayed by a day or two with them.

​

We are picking and packing your order as normal.  But the collection and delivery of you order is outside of our control.

​

One off purchases:- we will despatch your order normally the same day, but within 48 hours of it being placed subject to, stock levels, Company closure and bank holidays.

Subscription Order:- we will despatch your order normally on the day we take payment, but within 48 hours of payment day subject to, stock levels, Company closure and bank holidays.

​

Cut off time Courier Despatch is 15.00 (Monday - Friday).

​

If there is going to be a delay for any reason we will contact you.

Delivery can be made selected by either of the following (UK) -  charges are made depending on weight of order, but are between £2.35 & £5.95 -

​

Standard Delivery and Subscription order - We use Royal Mail - Tracked 48- this is for parcels up to about  2.5 kg over this weight we will ship by courier (UK Mail) for UK mainland, (but  not always)

​

If you need courier delivery then please select at checkout to make sure.

​

For offshore or Highlands, and N.I we will still deliver by Royal Mail.

​

(Some heavier items carry a surcharge of £1 or more)

We reserve the right to send parcels by courier even if Royal Mail delivery is selected at checkout. (at no extra charge to the customer)

Our Courier is normally DPD Courier Services and is normally on a Next Day Service (96%) (for Guaranteed Next Day select a 'Timed' Service)for UK Mainland, they offer the Predict Service which offers the following:

You are given a two hour delivery window

You are notified of this by text or email

If not convenient they can use the text or email to change the delivery date

You can arrange to collect from a local drop off shop

UK.Deliveries are made between 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and requires a signature. If you are out the driver will put a card through your door and you can collect your parcel from the local depot.

The delivery tariffs are based on the weight of the total order.

Most deliveries will require a signature on receipt. Please ensure that someone is present at the delivery address to sign for the order.
